Right to information

We need to explain to you in an understandable and clear way what we do with your data and what control you have over it. Therefore, we explain in detail in this privacy statement what data we collect from you and how we handle your data.

Right of inspection

You may always ask us to see the data we have on you.

Right of correction

You may ask us to correct your information if it is inaccurate or incomplete.

Right to object

You may object to the processing of your data if you disagree with the way we handle your personal data. This right applies to the data we use for direct marketing. For example, you can indicate to us that you no longer wish to receive mail from us. The same applies to personalized recommendations on our website.

14. What rules apply to this privacy statement?

Our privacy statement must meet several requirements. You will find these terms in particular in the General Data Protection Regulation. In addition, the general rules applicable under Dutch law apply to our privacy statement.

15. Analysis/log files

As with most websites, we collect certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring pages and last requested pages, operating system, date/time stamp and search history data.

We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, administer the site, track users’ actions around the site and gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

We link some of this automatically collected data to personally identifiable information. This allows us to provide a better experience by reducing the amount of data that must be entered when forms are filled out, closed content is downloaded, a chat is opened, surveys are completed, etc. You then see when filling out a form that, for example, your e-mail address is already filled in.

16. Applicants

Bconnect Live Chat regularly seeks new employees. Applicants provide us with personal data during the application process. Bconnect Live Chat collects and processes applicant data (required and optional) directly or through forms and/or attached CVs via our website’s job postings. We also collect and process applicant data through intermediaries, personal contacts, phone calls and/or e-mail.

Bconnect Live Chat retains applicant data during and after the recruitment and selection process. Upon completion of the recruitment and selection process, applicant data will be kept for a maximum of 1 year. Local laws (regarding data retention) are always consulted and followed in this process. After the applicant’s data retention period has expired, it will be completely deleted from Bconnect Live Chat’s system.

17. Testimonials

We also post references and client cases on our website. The personal information contained therein has been posted with the express prior consent of those affected. If a data subject wants his or her testimonials changed or removed, the data subject can contact us at info@bconnectlivechat.nl .

18. What cookies do we use?

Bconnect Live Chat and our analytics provider(s) use technologies such as cookies, web beacons (“beacons”), tags and scripts to analyze trends, operate the website, track how users navigate throughout the website and gather demographic data about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies from these companies on an individual and aggregate basis.

Users have control over the use of cookies through their individual browsers. If you reject cookies, you can still use our website, but use of some features or portions of our website may be limited.

For more specific information about our cookie policy, please see our cookie statement.

19. Links to other websites

Our website contains links to other websites that may have privacy practices that differ from the privacy practices of our Chat Service. If you submit personal information on those other sites, your information is governed by their privacy policies. We encourage you to read carefully the privacy statements of websites you visit.

20. What do we do with data of minors?

We do not specifically target minors with our website or as an organization. This means that if you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian to use our website. If you are a minor when you visit our website or webshop, we assume that you have obtained this consent prior to your visit.
